Has anyone yet read this book?
I am waiting to get a copy at my library.
I am mostly a Creech fan, much more in recent years. I wasn't keen on her early stuff.

::)I just finished and was thoroughly disappointed. When I think of Sharon Creech, I think of great characters, strong family relations, and a quirky plot. Castle Corona was like a negative image of my expectations. She seemed to be going for a fairy tale-fable. The characters were deliberately flat and shallow, even the protagonist wasn't that interesting. There was a moral at the end and the plot wrapped itself up in a neat bow but I couldn't muster much interest in the outcome.
