This book will (probably) get my vote. The characters were so fun and vulnerable. I've been pushing it for all of the upper el. kids that I see.
I love that hot topics are addressed while allowing the tenderness of the relationships shine through. I thought the portrayal of Frita's brother was exceptionally honest, especially for a minor character.
